The following are required to obtain a Tourist Visa for Moldova
A visa to Moldova is no longer required for citizens of the member states of the European Union, United States of America, Canada, the Swiss Confederation, and Japan who stays or who enters Ukraine for transit purpose for a period up to 90 days within a 180 day period with a valid passport.

PASSPORT
- Original, signed passport Valid for 6 months beyond stay, with at least one blank visa page available for visa stamp(s) and a round-trip airline ticket.
- Your passport must have at least 1 clear blank visa pages available for the visa stamp(s).
- A visa is not required for stay up to 90 days.

APPLICATION FORM
- One (1) Visa application forms completed and signed. All questions on the application form must be answered. Failure to complete all required fields on the form will delay the processing of your visa.
PHOTOGRAPHS
- One recent 2" X 2" passport type photograph, in color, front view, and with a plain light background.
LETTER OF INVITATION
- For citizens of Israel and Turkey applying for a 6 or 12 month visa, a letter of invitation from a private person or an organization is required. For citizens of all other countries, a letter of invitation from a private person or an organization is required for any type of visa.
- The invitation letter on behalf of an organization must be authorized by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova before being submitted to the Embassy.
- Please be advised that, according to the Moldovan legislation, a citizen of the Republic of Moldova who also claims citizenship of another country is recognized by the Republic of Moldova only as a Moldovan citizen. In this view, the Consular Section will not issue visas for American, Canadian, or Mexican citizens who also have a Moldovan passport even if the validity of the passport has expired.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Starting January 1st of 2007, a visa to Moldova is no longer required for citizens of the member states of the European Union, United States of America, Canada, Switzerland and Japan.
- Visas cannot be changed or extended. If your travel plans change after the visa is issued you will need to re-apply for a new one.
- Maximum stay in Moldova: 90 days
- Also note: Any visa applicant may be interviewed by a consular officer if necessary.
PAYMENT
The consulate only accepts United States Postal Money Orders for the cost of the visas. If you prefer, EDS can obtain the money order for the consulate. EDS accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express. Money orders and cash are also accepted.

When you have completed the visa application form, the EDS Service Request form, and this pre-shipping checklist, you may send all of your documents to the address below. We recommend using FedEx, UPS, DHL, or the USPS Express Mail for next-day delivery.
